Faith in Humanity?
Is it really possible to follow someone to your demise, knowing they're going to kill you if you fight back? However, many people do, because they have faith in humanity. But, think about it like the holocaust... the prisoners would follow the Nazis to the gas chamber, but if they fought back, they would be shot. Some fought back, but most just walked to their dooom, because they had faith in humanity. So think about it, can we afford faith in humanity? Is there even such a thing as humanity?

We have little choice but to trust humanity. The number of things that you trust on a daily basis would astound you if you really thought about it. From crossing a street, to eating and drinking - you are trusting that, generally, people are doing the right thing.
